Things to do on Lake Lanier. Hunting

Hunting on Lake Lanier.

Georgia state hunting regulations permits waterfowl hunting on the lake. However, no other hunting is allowed on Lake Sidney Lanier, because of its limited public land surrounding the lake, and the area's intensive residential development.
If you are planning a big event at the lake, Lake Lanier Islands Park has a group picnic shelter facility, able to accommodate groups up to 3,000 people, offering tables, grills, lights and electric outlets. Other camping areas available at Shady Grove Park and Shoal Creek Park support a shelter to seat up to 60 persons.

There are also available the following commercial campgrounds and picnic facilities close to Lake Lanier and Atlanta's metro area:
Atlanta South RV Resort in McDonough;
Brookwood RV Resort Park in Marietta;
Fort Yargo State Park in Winder;
Holiday Harbor in Acworth;
Jones RV Park in Norcross;
Pine Lake Campground in Bishop;
River Forks Park and Campground in Gainesville;
Stone Mountain Heights RV & MH Park in Stone Mountain;
Stone Mountain Park in Stone Mountain;
Sweetwater Creek State Park in Lithia Springs;
